We use a number of services and couriers for shipping, however we think it’s important to know that no one shipping company is perfect and there are some key misconceptions that you need to know about:
First & Second Class Mail is NOT Guaranteed
Although we’d all like to think that the Royal Mail will get everything to us the day after picking it up, unfortunately that’s not the case. All First Class mail ‘tries’ to do, is to get it to you within one working day, however the Post Office have up to 14 days in which to complete the process. Same applies to Second Class mail too.
What this means is that if you really need an item to be with you quickly, please don’t use a standard service such as First or Second Class mail. It may cost more, but unfortunately a guaranteed Next Day service such as Special Delivery, or UPS Next Day is your only option. At least if it doesn’t get to you, you can claim back the cost of sending it and if it gets lost, you may well be able to claim the cost of the goods.
Lost Items
As stated above. If you do decide good old fashioned 1st or 2nd Class mail is the way to go, then please be aware that we cannot do anything until the full 14 working days have passed for the Post Office to search for your item. Once we reach this point, Royal Mail may wish to write to you and ask if you have received the goods. As inconvenient as it is, we are afraid that unless you confirm non-receipt of the item(s), we have no claim and therefore cannot refund postage or payment for the goods.
Next Day Delivery Cut-off
Next day shipping is pretty much available on all our items (except custom assembled poker chip sets which are 2 day delivery). However to ensure we get your goods ready for collection, you will need to order and pay for the items before 12 noon. If we receive your order after this time, we will pack it ready to go, but can’t guarantee it will catch that day’s collection. Again, if you’re unsure, please call us.
